Hello Lakota Youth Basketball Families,
We hope you’re having a great summer! It’s never too early to start planning for the upcoming basketball season. We’re reaching out to everyone to remind you to visit the Thunderbird website at tbirdhoops.org for information about the coming season.
For those parents who are looking for a more competitive program for your child, please take a look at the Thunderbird Flight program. We’ve seen tremendous success with this program over the past few years and this coming season will include even more enhancements. In order to continue the growth of this program, we are in need of coaches. If you or you know of someone who has a strong basketball background and willing to share their experience with some of the best young talents in the area, please reach out to us. Our program supports both boys and girls teams from 2nd – 6th grade.

We will be hosting a networking event at Lakota West High School Community Room at 6 pm, Thursday, July 12, 2018.
Lakota West Boys Head Basketball Coach, Jim Leon, along with Lakota West High School Girls Head Basketball Coach, Andy Fishman, and their respective staff/trainers, several of our Board Members, and I would like to meet with interested select youth basketball coaches at this event. This is a coaches only meeting (no students).
In addition to meeting our boys and girls varsity coaches along with their staffs, you will also get to hear about the exciting things we have planned for the program from members of our Board of Directors. Additionally, you will have a chance to engage with other youth coaches in an effort to build relationships/community.
