Senior Remmington Steckler (’19), daughter of Lance and Kim Steckler, has verbally committed to play Softball and continue her education at Martin Methodist College next school year.

1. What led you to your decision to attend your chosen college?
I felt Martin Methodist was the right fit for me. I really connected with the small campus feel with all the big campus advantages.

2. What other schools did you consider?
– State University of New York at Fredonia
– Wilmington College
– University of Cumberlands
– Ashbury University

3. Do you know what you want to study?
I plan on studying Biology & Microbiology

4. When did this school come into the picture?
I started communicating with Martin Methodist in the spring of my junior year.

5. Have you visited the school? If so, when? How did it go?
I visited MMC in September of 2018 and the visit was wonderful. I really enjoyed the feel of the campus and felt at home with the coaching staff and players in the softball program.

6. Did anyone help you through the recruiting process? What kind of help did they provide?
I would like to thank Sheila Thiery, Area Director for National Scouting Report in Ohio and my parents for their guidance and help through the recruiting process.

7. What are your strengths?
– Organized
– Adaptable
– Outgoing Personality

8. What do you think you need to improve before starting college?
I hope to make improvements in my writing skills.

9. Please list any special awards, accomplishments or distinctions you may have earned:
– Honor Roll since junior high
– Earning an Athletic Scholarship for the Martin Methodist Softball program.
