GMC STANDINGS
The Lakota West Chess Team keeps collecting wins. The Firebirds defeated the Fairfield Indians 4-1 to secure 2nd place in the GMC. Coach Mark Moody led his chess team to a 7-1-1 record heading into the GMC Championships on 12/3 at Sycamore High School. The Firebirds finished 2nd in the conference only losing to Mason and tied with Sycamore. We want to wish Javier Bahns, Alex Evert, Kyle Fisher, Drew Kates, and Antivir Taunque the best of luck on Monday. Show the GMC who the real “Kings of Chess” is Firebirds. #WestPride
