Ben Whatley was the highest placing Firebird at Saturday’s Greater Miami Conference Wrestling meet. He earned all-GMC third team honors in the 132 pound weight class.
After advancing with a resounding 17-1 tech. fall win in the opening round of the tournament he then won a 16-5 major decision in the fourth round to earn all-conference alcolades.

Jordan Lauderback
Senior, Girls Gymnastics

Jordan posted Lakota West’s highest all-around score to lead the Firebirds to the Cincinnati City Team Gymnastics Championship held at Miamisburg on Sunday. Lauderback’s All-Around score of 33.35 not only boosted the Firebirds to the team championship but also gave Lauderback the All-Around 2nd place medal.
