West got off to a slow start against the higher ceded and older Elder team in a game played at the Elder Pitt. As a result, they faced a 25 point deficit (3-28) going into the second half. The Firebirds played the Panthers to a draw in the second half. The first West score came on a Josh Laine 32 yard field goal. The two second-half scores resulted from an Aiden Miller 10 yard run for a TD and a Mitch Bolden 7 yard throw to Calob Roa for the final score. Josh Laine nailed the two extra-point kicks. Jackson Kuwatch had 10 tackles (9 solos) and was the leading tackler in the game.
