Senior Savannah Grubbs (’21), daughter of Debbie and Ryian Grubbs, has verbally committed to play soccer and continue her education at University of Southern Indiana.

What led you to your decision to attend your chosen college?
The reason I picked this school was because I felt comfortable when I went on the visits and the girls and coach really fit to me and what I wanted. I love the coach and how he runs things. It was the perfect fit for me and I really felt at home there.

What other schools did you consider?
Bowling green, Morehead state, EKU.

Do you know what you want to study?
I am currently undecided.

When did this school come into the picture?
This school came into the picture about a year ago. I have been in contact with them for awhile.

Have you visited the school? If so, when?  How did it go?
Yes, I have had multiple visits there and had one overnight visit as well. It went amazing, the campus is  beautiful and has everything that I could ever want.

Did anyone help you through the recruiting process?  What kind of help did they provide?
My parents helped me through this recruiting process. They took me on the visits and they took the time to sit down and talk to me. We discussed what we liked and what we didn’t like and I couldn’t find anything I didn’t not like.

What are your strengths?
I think that I am a good distributor and I move off the ball. I am a talkative person so I am constantly communicating with my teammates on and off the field. I am strong in the air with winning balls (headers etc.)

What do you think you need to improve before starting college?
I think I need to improve on my speed because I know I can be faster. I also need to work on  dribbling and shooting more. I also need to work on turning off the ball and going forward.
