Aneesh Vyas continues his stellar senior campaign by placing 2nd at last weekend’s OHSAA Southwest District Tournament!

Aneesh, who competes in the heavyweight division, went 3-1 last weekend which earned him 2nd place at the Southwest District Tournament held at Kettering Fairmont HS. His path to the District finals started with an 8-3 decision over his opponent from Milford in the 1st round. In the quarterfinals, Aneesh pinned his opponent from Centerville in the 2nd period. In the semifinals, he continued his winning ways by earning a 3-1 OT decision over his opponent from Colerain. In the finals, he wrestled a back-and-forth match with his opponent from Huber Heights Wayne, but ultimately lost by fall in the 3rd period. However, by placing in the top 4 at Districts, Aneesh qualified for the OHSAA State Tournament which will take place this weekend at Hillard Darby HS!
