The Academic Team finished the regular season with the winningest record in team history – 15 wins and only 3 losses. They continued to set records at the GMC tournament on Saturday, making the most of their 3rd place seed. After an intense day of competition, the Firebirds found themselves tied with Fairfield and Sycamore at a record of 3 – 1 for the day. After a review of the tiebreaker rules, West was declared the winner by point differential, giving the Firebirds their first GMC tournament win. Next up is Regionals at Walnut Hills on April 9th.
