This past weekend in the National Football League, a unique occurrence occurred: two players from the same high school faced off against each other on the world’s most competitive football stage. Minnesota Vikings starting linebacker Jordan Hicks (Lakota West and the University of Texas) and Indianapolis Colts starting center Ryan Kelly (Lakota West and the University of Alabama) shared the spotlight as their respective teams dueled. In a remarkable comeback victory, the Vikings rallied from a 33-point deficit to capture the win from the Colts in overtime, 39-36. While fierce competitors on the field, these two Lakota West grads were all smiles afterward as they exchanged jerseys.
