Max competed in the Greater Miami Conference vs. the Eastern City Conference Clash of the Titans Meet held at Sycamore on April 7th and won the shot put event. He had the top mark among 26 competitors from the 20 schools competing and was the only Firebird boy to bring home an individual first-place medal in the meet. His 54′ 6″ winning distance set a new Lakota West school record and topped the 52′ 7.5″ mark set by Jon Rock over twenty-two years ago. Rock’s mark had been the oldest track and field record in the Lakota West book.

Heaven Wills
Sophomore, Track & Field
Heaven competed in the Greater Miami Conference vs. the Eastern City Conference Clash of the Titans Meet on April 7th, winning the 100-meter dash. With her winning time of 12.22 seconds, she bettered 26 other runners who competed in this event. In addition, Heaven set a new school record topping the previous mark of 12.36 seconds credited to Anna Szolwinski in 2015. She also picked up a silver medal by running a leg on the 4×200 meeter relay and a bronze medal for the 200-meter dash.
